THESE PHOTOS ROCKED US TO OUR CORE

What follows are some of our favourite engagement photos from the 12 months. I always get a kick out of seeing our older work. It motivates me. It keeps me on track with where I want to go, creatively. I feel like the shots I’ve selected reflect and reinforce the mindset that works for creating our aesthetic.

What I love most about the images chosen is that they’re not cookie-cutter. One of my rules when shooting is to obey the ‘Fuck, that’s boring’ reflex - when I’m photographing in a way that feels obvious or easy, I’m doing it wrong. It’s always worth changing things up, even if it doesn’t work at first. If you do this, you’re going to show off some weird moves. But it’s always worth it for a powerful frame.

Stay true to yourself. Get up in the face of what’s trending and slap ‘em with something better, something that’s yours; something your couples will brag about to their mates and grandmothers.

Big love, huge mood. Always.
